Psalm 50:8

New International Version

⁸I bring no charges^(A) against you concerning your sacrifices
or concerning your burnt offerings,^(B) which are ever before me.

⁸I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.

¹⁶You do not delight in sacrifice,^(A) or I would bring it;
you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.

¹⁶For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.

¹⁷My sacrifice,^(A) O God, is^[a] a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart^(B)
you, God, will not despise.

¹⁷The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
