    let the nations fall beneath your feet.

    a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.
⁷ You love righteousness^(I) and hate wickedness;^(J)
    therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
    by anointing^(K) you with the oil of joy.^(L)
8 All your robes are fragrant^(M) with myrrh^(N) and aloes^(O) and cassia;^(P)
    from palaces adorned with ivory^(Q)
    the music of the strings^(R) makes you glad.
⁹ Daughters of kings^(S) are among your honored women;
    at your right hand^(T) is the royal bride^(U) in gold of Ophir.^(V)

¹⁰ Listen, daughter,^(W) and pay careful attention:^(X)
    Forget your people^(Y) and your father’s house.
¹¹ Let the king be enthralled by your beauty;^(Z)
    honor^(AA) him, for he is your lord.^(AB)
12 The city of Tyre^(AC) will come with a gift,^[b](AD)
    people of wealth will seek your favor.
¹³ All glorious^(AE) is the princess within her chamber;
    her gown is interwoven with gold.^(AF)
14 In embroidered garments^(AG) she is led to the king;^(AH)
    her virgin companions^(AI) follow her—
    those brought to be with her.
¹⁵ Led in with joy and gladness,^(AJ)
    they enter the palace of the king.

¹⁶ Your sons will take the place of your fathers;
    you will make them princes^(AK) throughout the land.

¹⁷ I will perpetuate your memory through all generations;^(AL)
    therefore the nations will praise you^(AM) for ever and ever.^(AN)
