¹¹ Do not despise the Lord’s instruction, my son,
and do not loathe his discipline;^(A)
12 for the Lord disciplines the one he loves,
just as a father disciplines the son in whom he delights.^(B)

⁴ Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,”^(A)
and call understanding your relative.

¹⁷ I love those who love me,^(A)
and those who search for me find me.^(B)

²¹ giving wealth as an inheritance to those who love me,
and filling their treasuries.

⁸ Don’t rebuke a mocker, or he will hate you;^(A)
rebuke the wise, and he will love you.^(B)
