    ^(C)bind them around your neck;
    ^(D)write them on the tablet of your heart.
⁴ So you will ^(E)find favor and ^(F)good success^[a]
    in the sight of God and man.

^11 (A)My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline
    or be weary of his reproof,

¹⁶ There are ^(A)six things that the Lord hates,
    ^(B)seven that are an abomination to him:
^17 (C)haughty eyes, ^(D)a lying tongue,
    and ^(E)hands that shed innocent blood,
^18 (F)a heart that devises wicked plans,
    ^(G)feet that make haste to run to evil,
^19 (H)a false witness who ^(I)breathes out lies,
    and one who ^(J)sows discord among brothers.
