⁴ To give prudence to the ^(A)simple,
To the young man knowledge and discretion—

³² For the ^[a]turning away of the simple will slay them,
And the complacency of fools will destroy them;

⁷ And saw among the simple,
I perceived among the ^[a]youths,
A young man ^(A)devoid^[b] of understanding,

⁵ O you ^[a]simple ones, understand prudence,
And you fools, be of an understanding heart.

⁴ “Whoever^(A) is simple, let him turn in here!”
