³¹He ^(A)who oppresses the poor reproaches ^(B)his Maker,
But he who is gracious to the needy honors Him.

Proverbs 14:31

New International Version

³¹Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker,^(A)
but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.^(B)

⁸He who increases his wealth by ^(A)interest and usury
Gathers it ^(B)for him who is gracious to the lowly.

⁸Whoever increases wealth by taking interest^(A) or profit from the poor
amasses it for another,^(B) who will be kind to the poor.^(C)
