But with ^(B)the mouth of the foolish, ruin is at hand.

⁹ With his ^(A)mouth the godless person destroys his neighbor,
But through knowledge the ^(B)righteous will be rescued.

¹⁶ Every ^(A)prudent person acts with knowledge,
But a fool ^[a]displays foolishness.

¹⁸ The naive inherit foolishness,
But the sensible are crowned with knowledge.

² The ^(A)tongue of the wise makes knowledge pleasant,
But the ^(B)mouth of fools spouts foolishness.

⁷ The lips of the wise spread knowledge,
But the hearts of fools are not so.

¹⁴ The ^(A)mind of the intelligent seeks knowledge,
But the mouth of fools feeds on foolishness.

¹⁵ The ^[a](A)mind of the discerning acquires knowledge,
And the ^(B)ear of the wise seeks knowledge.

² Also it is not good for a person to be without knowledge,
And one who hurries ^[a](A)his footsteps ^[b]errs.

¹⁵ There is gold, and an abundance of ^[a]jewels;
But lips of knowledge are a more precious thing.
