Proverbs 9:13-18
New Living Translation
Folly Calls for a Hearing
13 The woman named Folly is brash.
She is ignorant and doesn’t know it.
14 She sits in her doorway
on the heights overlooking the city.
15 She calls out to men going by
who are minding their own business.
16 “Come in with me,” she urges the simple.
To those who lack good judgment, she says,
17 “Stolen water is refreshing;
food eaten in secret tastes the best!”
18 But little do they know that the dead are there.
Her guests are in the depths of the grave.[a]

13 Ang kabuang sama sa usa ka babayeng sabaan, walay alamag, ug walay kahibalo. 14 Maglingkod siya sa pultahan sa iyang balay o sa habog nga mga dapit sa lungsod, 15 ug manawag sa mga molabay nga nagapadulong sa ilang mga trabaho. 16 Moingon siya, “Kamong mga walay alamag, dali kamo dinhi.” Ug ingon pa niya sa mga walay panabot, 17 “Mas lami ang tubig nga kinawat ug mas lami ang pagkaon nga kan-on sa tago.”[a] 18 Apan wala masayod ang mga tawo nga ang moadto kaniya mamatay. Ang nakaadto na kaniya anaa na karon sa dapit sa mga patay.
