Proverbs 4:1-6
New Living Translation
A Father’s Wise Advice
4 My children,[a] listen when your father corrects you.
Pay attention and learn good judgment,
2 for I am giving you good guidance.
Don’t turn away from my instructions.
3 For I, too, was once my father’s son,
tenderly loved as my mother’s only child.
4 My father taught me,
“Take my words to heart.
Follow my commands, and you will live.
5 Get wisdom; develop good judgment.
Don’t forget my words or turn away from them.
6 Don’t turn your back on wisdom, for she will protect you.
Love her, and she will guard you.

4 Mga anak, pamatia ninyo pag-ayo ang pagtul-id sa inyong amahan sa inyong pamatasan, aron makakat-on kamo. 2 Maayo ang akong ginatudlo, busa ayaw ninyo kini ipakawalay-bili. 3 Sa bata pa ako ug anaa pa sa poder sa akong amahan, paborito[a] ako sa akong inahan. 4 Ginatudloan ako sa akong amahan. Miingon siya kanako, “Tipigi sa imong kasingkasing ang gipanudlo ko kanimo. Tumana ang mga sugo ko aron padayon kang magkinabuhi. 5 Paninguhaa nga makaangkon kag kaalam ug pagsabot. Ayawg kalimti ang akong mga gipang-estorya kanimo, ug ayawg biya niini. 6 Ayaw isalikway ang kaalam, hatagi hinuon kinig importansya, kay mao kini ang motipig kanimo.
