²¹ For ^(A)the upright will live in the land,
And ^(B)the blameless will remain in it;

³ The ^(A)integrity of the upright will guide them,
But the ^(B)perversity of the treacherous will destroy them.

⁶ The righteousness of the upright will rescue them,
But the treacherous will ^(A)be caught by their own greed.

¹¹ By the blessing of the upright a city is exalted,
But by the mouth of the wicked, it is torn down.

⁹ Fools mock at ^[a]sin,
But ^(A)among the upright there is ^[b]goodwill.

¹¹ The ^(A)house of the wicked will be destroyed,
But the tent of the upright will flourish.

⁸ The ^(A)sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord,
But ^(B)the prayer of the upright is His delight.

¹⁹ The way of the ^[a]lazy one is like a hedge of thorns,
But the path of the upright is a highway.

¹⁷ The ^(A)highway of the upright is to turn away from evil;
One who watches his way protects his ^[a]life.
