⁵ Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
    and do not rely on your own insight.^(A)

⁵ Commit your way to the Lord;
    trust in him, and he will act.^(A)

⁷ Blessed are those who trust in the Lord,
    whose trust is the Lord.^(A)
8 They shall be like a tree planted by water,
    sending out its roots by the stream.
It shall not fear when heat comes,
    and its leaves shall stay green;
in the year of drought it is not anxious,
    and it does not cease to bear fruit.^(B)

³ Trust in the Lord and do good;
    live in the land and enjoy security.^(A)

⁸ Trust in him at all times, O people;
    pour out your heart before him;
    God is a refuge for us. Selah^(A)

² Surely God is my salvation;
    I will trust and will not be afraid,
for the Lord^[a] is my strength and my might;
    he has become my salvation.”^(A)

⁷ Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him;
    do not fret over those who prosper in their way,
    over those who carry out evil devices.^(A)
