⁵ All those who are arrogant are an abomination to the Lord;
    be assured, they will not go unpunished.^(A)

²¹ Be assured, the wicked will not go unpunished,
    but those who are righteous will escape.^(A)

¹³ The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil.
Pride and arrogance and the way of evil
    and perverted speech I hate.^(A)

¹¹ Woe to the guilty! How unfortunate they are,
    for what their hands have done shall be done to them.^(A)

¹² Look on all who are proud and bring them low;
    tread down the wicked where they stand.^(A)
