³ The ox ^(A)knows its owner,
    and the donkey its master's crib,
but Israel does ^(B)not know,
    my people do not understand.”

²³     till an arrow pierces its liver;
as ^(A)a bird rushes into a snare;
    he does not know that it will cost him his life.

¹¹ who teaches us ^(A)more than the beasts of the earth
    and makes us wiser than the birds of the heavens?’
