Proverbs 10:6-16  New American Standard Bible

^6 (A)Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
But ^(B)the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.
⁷ The ^(C)mentioning of the righteous is a blessing,
But ^(D)the name of the wicked will rot.
⁸ The ^(E)wise of heart will receive commands,
But ^[a]a babbling fool will come to ruin.
⁹ One ^(F)who walks in integrity walks securely,
But ^(G)one who perverts his ways will be found out.
¹⁰ He ^(H)who winks the eye causes trouble,
And ^[b](I)a babbling fool will come to ruin.
¹¹ The ^(J)mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life,
But ^(K)the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.
¹² Hatred stirs up strife,
But ^(L)love covers all offenses.
¹³ On ^(M)the lips of the discerning, wisdom is found,
But ^(N)a rod is for the back of him who has no ^[c]sense.
¹⁴ Wise people ^(O)store up knowledge,
But with ^(P)the mouth of the foolish, ruin is at hand.
¹⁵ The ^(Q)rich person’s wealth is his ^[d]fortress,
The ^(R)ruin of the poor is their poverty.
¹⁶ The ^[e](S)wages of the righteous is life,
The income of the wicked, punishment.
