Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.

I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.

And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.

Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.

17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

18 But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.

19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

20 Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

21 Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.

22 All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household.

10 Jag är glad och tacksam till Herren för att ni hjälper mig än en gång. Jag vet att ni alltid har varit ivriga att skicka mig vad ni har kunnat, men på sistone har ni ju inte haft någon möjlighet till det.

11 Jag kan fördenskull inte säga att det har gått någon större nöd på mig, för jag har lärt mig att vara lycklig med vad jag har.

12 Jag kan konsten att leva på nästan ingenting, och jag vet hur det är att leva när man har allt. Jag har lärt mig hemligheten att vara nöjd i alla situationer, vare sig jag är mätt eller hungrig, vare sig jag har mer än jag behöver eller saknar allt.

13 Jag kan göra allt som Gud ber mig om, tack vare Kristus, som ger mig styrka och kraft.

14 Trots detta har ni gjort rätt i att hjälpa mig i mina nuvarande svårigheter.

15 Ni vet ju mycket väl att när jag först kom med de goda nyheterna till er och sedan for min väg och lämnade Makedonien, så var det bara ni filipper som stödde mig ekonomiskt. Ingen annan församling gjorde detta.

16 Till och med när jag var i Thessalonike sände ni mig hjälp två gånger.

17 Men fastän jag sätter värde på era gåvor, gläder jag mig mest över den välförtjänta lön som ni kommer att få på grund av er omsorg om mig.

18 För tillfället har jag allt jag behöver ja, mer än så! Jag har fått ta emot den generösa gåva ni sände mig när Epafroditos kom. Det är en offergåva som Gud ser på med glädje och välbehag.

19 Och han kommer att fylla alla era behov med sin härlighets rikedomar, på grund av vad Jesus Kristus har gjort för oss.

God's Provision

In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and (S)hunger, abundance and (T)need. 13 I can do all things (U)through him who strengthens me.

14 Yet it was kind of you (V)to share[f] my trouble. 15 And you Philippians yourselves know that (W)in the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, (X)no church entered into partnership with me in giving and receiving, except you only. 16 Even in Thessalonica you sent me help for my needs once and again. 17 (Y)Not that I seek the gift, but I seek (Z)the fruit that increases to your credit.[g] 18 I have received full payment, and more. 10 I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me.(N) Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content(O) whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty.
