8 God can testify(A) how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.
9 And this is my prayer: that your love(B) may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight,(C) 10 so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,(D) 11 filled with the fruit of righteousness(E) that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.

12 Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters,[a] that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel.

10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.
11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
12 But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;
