⁷ But ^(A)what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.

³³ So likewise, whoever of you ^(A)does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.

^26 (A)“If anyone comes to Me ^(B)and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, ^(C)yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.

²⁶ For what ^(A)profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or ^(B)what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

The Parable of the Hidden Treasure

⁴⁴ “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and ^(A)sells all that he has and ^(B)buys that field.

The Parable of the Pearl of Great Price

⁴⁵ “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, ⁴⁶ who, when he had found ^(C)one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.

^15 (A)We who are Jews by nature, and not ^(B)sinners of the Gentiles, ^16 (C)knowing that a man is not ^[a]justified by the works of the law but ^(D)by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not ^(E)by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

³¹ “In that day, he ^(A)who is on the housetop, and his ^[a]goods are in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back. ^32 (B)Remember Lot’s wife. ^33 (C)Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.
