14 Then the Lord spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying, 15 “Enroll the Levites by ancestral houses and by clans. You shall enroll every male from a month old and up.”(A) 16 So Moses enrolled them according to the word of the Lord, as he was commanded.

14 Yahweh spoke to Moses in the desert of Sinai, saying, 15 “Muster[a] the descendants of Levi according to their families,[b] according to their clans. You will count every male from one month[c] and above.” 16 So Moses mustered[d] them according to the command of Yahweh,[e] just as he commanded.
