Zelophehad’s Daughters^(A)

27 The daughters of Zelophehad^(B) son of Hepher,^(C) the son of Gilead,^(D) the son of Makir,^(E) the son of Manasseh, belonged to the clans of Manasseh son of Joseph. The names of the daughters were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milkah and Tirzah. They came forward

² They said, “When the Lord commanded my lord to give the land as an inheritance to the Israelites by lot,^(A) he ordered you to give the inheritance of our brother Zelophehad^(B) to his daughters.

³ Now Zelophehad son of Hepher,^(A) the son of Gilead, the son of Makir, the son of Manasseh, had no sons but only daughters,^(B) whose names were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milkah and Tirzah.
