³ Celebrate it at the appointed time, at twilight on the fourteenth day of this month,^(A) in accordance with all its rules and regulations.^(B)”

⁶ Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month,^(A) when all the members of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight.^{(B) 7} Then they are to take some of the blood^(C) and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they eat the lambs. ⁸ That same night^(D) they are to eat the meat roasted^(E) over the fire, along with bitter herbs,^(F) and bread made without yeast.^{(G) 9} Do not eat the meat raw or boiled in water, but roast it over a fire—with the head, legs and internal organs.^{(H) 10} Do not leave any of it till morning;^(I) if some is left till morning, you must burn it. ¹¹ This is how you are to eat it: with your cloak tucked into your belt, your sandals on your feet and your staff in your hand. Eat it in haste;^(J) it is the Lord’s Passover.^(K)

²⁶ Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world.^(A) But he has appeared^(B) once for all^(C) at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself.^(D)

¹⁵ They slaughtered the Passover lamb on the fourteenth day of the second month. The priests and the Levites were ashamed and consecrated^(A) themselves and brought burnt offerings to the temple of the Lord.

² The king and his officials and the whole assembly in Jerusalem decided to celebrate^(A) the Passover in the second month.

¹¹ but they are to do it on the fourteenth day of the second month^(A) at twilight. They are to eat the lamb, together with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.^{(B) 12} They must not leave any of it till morning^(C) or break any of its bones.^(D) When they celebrate the Passover, they must follow all the regulations.^(E)
