⁵⁵ But the land shall be ^(A)divided by lot; they shall inherit according to the names of the tribes of their fathers.

¹³ Then Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying: ^(A)“This is the land which you shall inherit by lot, which the Lord has commanded to give to the nine tribes and to the half-tribe.

⁵⁴ And ^(A)you shall divide the land by lot as an inheritance among your families; to the larger you shall give a larger inheritance, and to the smaller you shall give a smaller inheritance; there everyone’s inheritance shall be whatever falls to him by lot. You shall inherit according to the tribes of your fathers.

² Their inheritance was ^(A)by lot, as the Lord had commanded by the hand of Moses, for the nine tribes and the half-tribe.

²³ So Joshua took the whole land, ^(A)according to all that the Lord had said to Moses; and Joshua gave it as an inheritance to Israel ^(B)according to their divisions by their tribes. Then the land ^(C)rested from war.

^4 (A)And I heard the number of those who were sealed. ^(B)One hundred and forty-four thousand ^(C)of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed:

^12 (A)giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of ^(B)the inheritance of the saints in the light.

²⁶ And they cast their lots, and the lot fell on Matthias. And he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
