²⁹ When all the congregation saw that Aaron had died, all the house of Israel mourned for Aaron thirty days.

⁸ The Israelites wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days; then the period of mourning for Moses was ended.

² Devout men buried Stephen and made loud lamentation over him.^(A)

²⁴ So his servants took him out of the chariot and carried him in his second chariot^[a] and brought him to Jerusalem. There he died and was buried in the tombs of his ancestors. All Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah.^{(A) 25} Jeremiah also uttered a lament for Josiah, and all the singing men and singing women have spoken of Josiah in their laments to this day. They made these a custom in Israel; they are recorded in the Laments.^(B)

¹⁰ God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good.^(A)
