^28 (A)Moses stripped Aaron of his garments and put them on Eleazar his son; and ^(B)Aaron died there on the top of the mountain. Then Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain.

⁶ (Now the children of Israel journeyed from the wells of Bene Jaakan to Moserah, where Aaron ^(A)died, and where he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered as priest in his ^[a]stead.

²⁹ “And the ^(A)holy garments of Aaron ^(B)shall be his sons’ after him, ^(C)to be anointed in them and to be consecrated in them. ^30 (D)That son who becomes priest in his place shall put them on for ^(E)seven days, when he enters the tabernacle of meeting to minister in the ^[a]holy place.

¹⁵ Moreover I will be careful to ensure that you always have a reminder of these things after my ^[a]decease.

²⁴ But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. ²⁵ Therefore He is also ^(A)able to save ^[a]to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives ^(B)to make intercession for them.

²⁵ “And indeed, now I know that you all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, will see my face no more. ²⁶ Therefore I testify to you this day that I am ^(A)innocent^[a] of the blood of all men. ²⁷ For I have not ^[b]shunned to declare to you ^(B)the whole counsel of God. ^28 (C)Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit ^(D)has made you overseers, to shepherd the church ^[c]of God ^(E)which He purchased ^(F)with His own blood. ²⁹ For I know this, that after my departure ^(G)savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.

^5 (A)And of all my sons (for the Lord has given me many sons) ^(B)He has chosen my son Solomon to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the Lord over Israel. ⁶ Now He said to me, ‘It is ^(C)your son Solomon who shall build My house and My courts; for I have chosen him to be My son, and I will be his Father. ⁷ Moreover I will establish his kingdom forever, ^(D)if he is steadfast to observe My commandments and My judgments, as it is this day.’ ⁸ Now therefore, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the Lord, and in the hearing of our God, be careful to seek out all the commandments of the Lord your God, that you may possess this good land, and leave it as an inheritance for your children after you forever.

⁹ “As for you, my son Solomon, ^(E)know the God of your father, and serve Him ^(F)with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for ^(G)the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. ^(H)If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will ^(I)cast you off forever.

¹⁷ David also commanded all the ^(A)leaders of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying,

¹¹ Now, my son, may ^(A)the Lord be with you; and may you prosper, and build the house of the Lord your God, as He has said to you. ¹² Only may the Lord ^(B)give you wisdom and understanding, and give you charge concerning Israel, that you may keep the law of the Lord your God.
