The First Census of Israel^(A)

1 Now the Lord spoke to Moses ^(B)in the Wilderness of Sinai, ^(C)in the tabernacle of meeting, on the ^(D)first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying:

²² And ^(A)there I will meet with you, and I will speak with you from above the mercy seat, from ^(B)between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the Testimony, about everything which I will give you in commandment to the children of Israel.

Departure from Sinai

¹¹ Now it came to pass on the twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, that the cloud ^(A)was taken up from above the tabernacle of the Testimony. ¹² And the children of Israel set out from the ^(B)Wilderness of Sinai on ^(C)their journeys; then the cloud settled down in the ^(D)Wilderness of Paran.

19 In the third month after the children of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on the same day, ^(A)they came to the Wilderness of Sinai.

The Second Passover^(A)

9 Now the Lord spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying:

^34 (A)These are the commandments which the Lord commanded Moses for the children of Israel on Mount ^(B)Sinai.

The Burnt Offering

1 Now the Lord ^(A)called to Moses, and spoke to him ^(B)from the tabernacle of meeting, saying,

¹⁷ And it came to pass in the first month of the second year, on the first day of the month, that the ^(A)tabernacle was ^[a]raised up.

² “On the first day of the ^(A)first month you shall set up ^(B)the tabernacle of the tent of meeting.

Solomon Builds the Temple^(A)

6 And ^(B)it came to pass in the four hundred and ^[a]eightieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month of ^[b]Ziv, which is the second month, ^(C)that he began to build the house of the Lord.
