The Census

1 The Lord spoke to Moses in the tent of meeting^(A) in the Desert of Sinai^(B) on the first day of the second month^(C) of the second year after the Israelites came out of Egypt.^(D) He said:

²² There, above the cover between the two cherubim^(A) that are over the ark of the covenant law, I will meet^(B) with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites.^(C)

The Israelites Leave Sinai

¹¹ On the twentieth day of the second month of the second year,^(A) the cloud lifted^(B) from above the tabernacle of the covenant law.^{(C) 12} Then the Israelites set out from the Desert of Sinai and traveled from place to place until the cloud came to rest in the Desert of Paran.^(D)

At Mount Sinai

19 On the first day of the third month after the Israelites left Egypt^(A)—on that very day—they came to the Desert of Sinai.^(B)

The Passover

9 The Lord spoke to Moses in the Desert of Sinai in the first month^(A) of the second year after they came out of Egypt.^(B) He said,

³⁴ These are the commands the Lord gave Moses at Mount Sinai^(A) for the Israelites.^(B)

The Burnt Offering

1 The Lord called to Moses^(A) and spoke to him from the tent of meeting.^(B) He said,

¹⁷ So the tabernacle^(A) was set up on the first day of the first month^(B) in the second year.

² “Set up^(A) the tabernacle, the tent of meeting,^(B) on the first day of the first month.^(C)
