8 (A)You found his heart faithful before you, (B)and made with him the covenant to give to his offspring (C)the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Jebusite, and the Girgashite. (D)And you have kept your promise, for you are righteous.
9 (E)“And you saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt and heard (F)their cry at the Red Sea, 10 (G)and performed signs and wonders against Pharaoh and all his servants and all the people of his land, for you knew that (H)they acted arrogantly against our fathers. And (I)you made a name for yourself, as it is to this day.

8 You found his heart (A)faithful before You,
And made a (B)covenant with him
To give the land of the Canaanites,
The Hittites, the Amorites,
The Perizzites, the Jebusites,
And the Girgashites—
To give it to his descendants.
You (C)have performed Your words,
For You are righteous.
9 “You(D) saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt,
And (E)heard their cry by the Red Sea.
10 You (F)showed signs and wonders against Pharaoh,
Against all his servants,
And against all the people of his land.
For You knew that they (G)acted [a]proudly against them.
So You (H)made a name for Yourself, as it is this day.
