⁶ And Ezra said,^[a] “You are the Lord, you alone; you have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. To all of them you give life, and the host of heaven worships you.^(A)

Six Days of Creation and the Sabbath

1 When God began to create^[a] the heavens and the earth,^(A)

¹⁶ “O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, who are enthroned above the cherubim, you are God, you alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; you have made heaven and earth.^(A)

¹⁴ Although heaven and the heaven of heavens belong to the Lord your God, the earth with all that is in it,^(A)

⁴ “Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone.^[a](A)

¹⁵ And Hezekiah prayed before the Lord and said, “O Lord the God of Israel, who are enthroned above the cherubim, you are God, you alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; you have made heaven and earth.^(A)

¹¹ Thus shall you say to them: The gods who did not make the heavens and the earth shall perish from the earth and from under the heavens.^[a](A)
