¹⁷ They refused to obey,
And ^(A)they were not mindful of Your wonders
That You did among them.
But they hardened their necks,
And ^[a]in their rebellion
They appointed ^(B)a leader
To return to their bondage.
But You are God,
Ready to pardon,
^(C)Gracious and merciful,
Slow to anger,
Abundant in kindness,
And did not forsake them.

¹⁵ But ^(A)You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious,
Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.

⁵ For ^(A)You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You.

¹¹ And ^(A)forgot His works
And His wonders that He had shown them.

⁴² They did not remember His ^[a]power:
The day when He redeemed them from the enemy,
⁴³ When He worked His signs in Egypt,
And His wonders in the field of Zoan;

¹³ So ^(A)rend your heart, and not ^(B)your garments;
Return to the Lord your God,
For He is ^(C)gracious and merciful,
Slow to anger, and of great kindness;
And He relents from doing harm.

^7 (A)Let the ^[a]wicked forsake his way,
And the unrighteous man ^(B)his thoughts;
Let him return to the Lord,
^(C)And He will have mercy on him;
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.

^43 (A)Many times He delivered them;
But they rebelled in their counsel,
And were brought low for their iniquity.
