⁹ but if you return to me and keep my commandments and do them, though your outcasts are under the farthest skies, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place where I have chosen to establish my name.’^(A)

¹¹ For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope.^{(A) 12} Then when you call upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you.^{(B) 13} When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart,^{(C) 14} I will let you find me, says the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.^(D)

³⁷ See, I am going to gather them from all the lands to which I drove them in my anger and my wrath and in great indignation; I will bring them back to this place, and I will settle them in safety.^(A)

² and return to the Lord your God, and you and your children obey him with all your heart and with all your soul, just as I am commanding you today,^{(A) 3} then the Lord your God will return you from your captivity and have compassion on you, gathering you again from all the peoples among whom the Lord your God has scattered you.^{(B) 4} Even if you are exiled to the ends of the world,^[a] from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there he will take you back.^{(C) 5} The Lord your God will bring you into the land that your ancestors possessed, and you will possess it; he will make you more prosperous and numerous than your ancestors.

²⁹ From there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find him if you search after him with all your heart and soul.^{(A) 30} In your distress, when all these things have happened to you in time to come, you will return to the Lord your God and heed him. ³¹ Because the Lord your God is a merciful God, he will neither abandon you nor destroy you; he will not forget the covenant with your ancestors that he swore to them.^(B)

³⁹ And those of you who survive shall languish in the land of your enemies because of their iniquities; they shall also languish because of the iniquities of their ancestors.^(A)

⁴⁰ “But if they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their ancestors—their treachery against me and also their continued hostility to me,^{(B) 41} so that I in turn was hostile to them and brought them into the land of their enemies—if, then, their uncircumcised heart is humbled and they make amends for their iniquity,^{(C) 42} then will I remember my covenant with Jacob; I will remember also my covenant with Isaac and also my covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land.^(D)

³¹ And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.^(A)

¹⁵ And after I have plucked them up, I will again have compassion on them, and I will bring them again to their heritage and to their land, every one of them.^(A)
