¹⁸ “We are going up to Jerusalem,^(A) and the Son of Man^(B) will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law.^(C) They will condemn him to death

¹⁹ and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged^(A) and crucified.^(B) On the third day^(C) he will be raised to life!”^(D)

³² And I, when I am lifted up^[a] from the earth,^(A) will draw all people to myself.”^(B)

³³ He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die.^(A)
