¹⁹ The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look, a glutton and a drunkard,^(A) a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’^(B) Yet wisdom is vindicated^[a] by her deeds.”^[b]

¹⁰ But so you may know that the Son of Man^(A) has authority^(B) on earth to forgive sins,”^(C) He told the paralytic,

¹² And there was a lot of discussion about Him among the crowds. Some were saying, “He’s a good^(A) man.” Others were saying, “No, on the contrary, He’s deceiving^(B) the people.”

²⁴ So a second time they summoned the man who had been blind and told him, “Give glory^(A) to God.^[a](B) We know that this man is a sinner!”
