Jesus Calls Matthew

^9 (A)As Jesus passed on from there, he saw a man called ^(B)Matthew sitting at the tax booth, and he said to him, “Follow me.” And he rose and followed him.

I Am the Light of the World

^12 (A)Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, ^(B)“I am the light of the world. Whoever ^(C)follows me will not ^(D)walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

²⁶ If anyone serves me, he must ^(A)follow me; and ^(B)where I am, there will my servant be also. ^(C)If anyone serves me, ^(D)the Father will honour him.

¹⁹ (This he said to show ^(A)by what kind of death he was to glorify God.) And after saying this he said to him, ^(B)“Follow me.”
