Matthew 16:15-19

¹⁵ He *said to them, “But who do you yourselves say that I am?” ¹⁶ Simon Peter answered, “You are ^(A)the ^[a]Christ, ^(B)the Son of ^(C)the living God.” ¹⁷ And Jesus said to him, “Blessed are you, ^(D)Simon ^[b]Barjona, because ^(E)flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. ¹⁸ And I also say to you that you are ^[c](F)Peter, and upon this ^[d]rock I will build My church; and the gates of ^(G)Hades will not overpower it. ¹⁹ I will give you ^(H)the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and ^(I)whatever you ^[e]bind on earth ^[f]shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you ^[g]loose on earth ^[h]shall have been loosed in heaven.”
