Matthew 16:6-8 New American Bible (Revised Edition) (NABRE)

Jesus said to them, “Look out, and beware of the leaven[a] of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” [b]They concluded among themselves, saying, “It is because we have brought no bread.” When Jesus became aware of this he said, “You of little faith, why do you conclude among yourselves that it is because you have no bread?

“Be careful,” Jesus said to them. “Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”

They discussed this among themselves and said, “It is because we didn’t bring any bread.”

Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked, “You of little faith, why are you talking among yourselves about having no bread?
