His Death and Resurrection Predicted

²¹ From^(A) then on Jesus began to point out to his disciples that it was necessary for him to go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders, chief priests, and scribes, be killed, and be raised the third day.^(B)

¹⁸ “See, we are going up to Jerusalem. The Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death.^(A)

¹⁵ When the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonders that he did and the children shouting in the temple, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant

⁴¹ In the same way the chief priests, with the scribes and elders,^[a] mocked him and said,

²² saying,^(A) “It is necessary that the Son of Man^(B) suffer many things^(C) and be rejected^(D) by the elders, chief priests, and scribes,^(E) be killed, and be raised the third day.”^(F)
