¹⁷ And Jesus answered him, ^(A)“Blessed are you, ^(B)Simon Bar-Jonah! For ^(C)flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, ^(D)but my Father who is in heaven. ¹⁸ And I tell you, ^(E)you are Peter, and ^(F)on this rock^[a] I will build my church, and ^(G)the gates of ^(H)hell^[b] shall not prevail against it. ¹⁹ I will give you ^(I)the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and ^(J)whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed^[c] in heaven.” ^20 (K)Then he strictly charged the disciples to tell no one that he was the Christ.
