^4 (A)And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; ^(B)there shall be no more death, ^(C)nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

⁹ Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that your sorrow led to repentance. For you were made sorry in a godly manner, that you might suffer loss from us in nothing. ¹⁰ For ^(A)godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; ^(B)but the sorrow of the world produces death.

²⁰ Most assuredly, I say to you that you will weep and ^(A)lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into ^(B)joy. ^21 (C)A woman, when she is in labor, has sorrow because her hour has come; but as soon as she has given birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world. ²² Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and ^(D)your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.

¹⁴ And I said to him, ^[a]“Sir, you know.”

So he said to me, ^(A)“These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and ^(B)washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. ¹⁵ Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will ^(C)dwell among them. ^16 (D)They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; ^(E)the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; ¹⁷ for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne ^(F)will shepherd them and lead them to ^[b]living fountains of waters. ^(G)And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
