¹¹ Then the devil left him, and suddenly angels came and waited on him.^(A)

⁵³ Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels?^(A)

¹⁴ Are not all angels^[a] spirits in the divine service, sent to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?^(A)

[[⁴³ Then an angel from heaven appeared to him and gave him strength.^(A)

¹¹ Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels surrounding the throne and the living creatures and the elders; they numbered myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands,^{(A) 12} singing with full voice,

⁶ And again, when he brings the firstborn into the world, he says,

¹⁶ Without any doubt, the mystery of godliness is great:

³⁰ I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no power over me,^(A)

⁵³ When I was with you day after day in the temple, you did not lay hands on me. But this is your hour and the power of darkness!”^(A)

¹³ When the devil had finished every test, he departed from him until an opportune time.^(A)
