⁷ And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed ^(A)He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.”

³² But after I have been raised, ^(A)I will go before you to Galilee.”

⁷ But go, tell His disciples—and Peter—that He is going ^[a]before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, ^(A)as He said to you.”

⁸ So they went out ^[b]quickly and fled from the tomb, for they trembled and were amazed. ^(B)And they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid.

¹⁰ Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell ^(A)My brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me.”

Breakfast by the Sea

21 After these things Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the ^(A)Sea of Tiberias, and in this way He showed Himself: ² Simon Peter, ^(B)Thomas called the Twin, ^(C)Nathanael of ^(D)Cana in Galilee, ^(E)the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together. ³ Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.”

They said to him, “We are going with you also.” They went out and ^[a]immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing. ⁴ But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples ^(F)did not know that it was Jesus. ⁵ Then ^(G)Jesus said to them, “Children, have you any food?”

They answered Him, “No.”

⁶ And He said to them, ^(H)“Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.

⁷ Therefore ^(I)that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had removed it), and plunged into the sea. ⁸ But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from land, but about two hundred cubits), dragging the net with fish. ⁹ Then, as soon as they had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid on it, and bread. ¹⁰ Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish which you have just caught.”

¹¹ Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred and fifty-three; and although there were so many, the net was not broken. ¹² Jesus said to them, ^(J)“Come and eat breakfast.” Yet none of the disciples dared ask Him, “Who are You?”—knowing that it was the Lord. ¹³ Jesus then came and took the bread and gave it to them, and likewise the fish.

¹⁴ This is now ^(K)the third time Jesus showed Himself to His disciples after He was raised from the dead.

¹⁷ Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ^(A)ascended to My Father; but go to ^(B)My brethren and say to them, ^(C)‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to ^(D)My God and your God.’ ”

^18 (E)Mary Magdalene came and told the ^[a]disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her.

⁴ But these things I have told you, that when ^[a]the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them.

“And these things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you.

⁴ and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day ^(A)according to the Scriptures,

²⁹ “And ^(A)now I have told you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe.
