The Great Commission^(A)

¹⁶ Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain ^(B)which Jesus had appointed for them.

³² But after I have been raised, ^(A)I will go before you to Galilee.”

¹⁰ Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell ^(A)My brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me.”

⁷ And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed ^(A)He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.”

¹³ And when they had entered, they went up ^(A)into the upper room where they were staying: ^(B)Peter, James, John, and Andrew; Philip and Thomas; Bartholomew and Matthew; James the son of Alphaeus and ^(C)Simon the Zealot; and ^(D)Judas the son of James. ^14 (E)These all continued with one ^[a]accord in prayer ^[b]and supplication, with ^(F)the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with ^(G)His brothers.

¹⁵ And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the ^[c]disciples (altogether the number ^(I)of names was about a hundred and twenty), and said, ¹⁶ “Men and brethren, this Scripture had to be fulfilled, ^(J)which the Holy Spirit spoke before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, ^(K)who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus; ¹⁷ for ^(L)he was numbered with us and obtained a part in ^(M)this ministry.”

^18 (N)(Now this man purchased a field with ^(O)the ^[d]wages of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst open in the middle and all his ^[e]entrails gushed out. ¹⁹ And it became known to all those dwelling in Jerusalem; so that field is called in their own language, Akel Dama, that is, Field of Blood.)

²¹ “Therefore, of these men who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, ²² beginning from the baptism of John to that day when ^(R)He was taken up from us, one of these must ^(S)become a witness with us of His resurrection.”

²³ And they proposed two: Joseph called ^(T)Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias. ²⁴ And they prayed and said, “You, O Lord, ^(U)who know the hearts of all, show which of these two You have chosen ^25 (V)to take part in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.” ²⁶ And they cast their lots, and the lot fell on Matthias. And he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

The Great Commission^(A)

^14 (B)Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen.

¹⁵ Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because ^(A)we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up—if in fact the dead do not rise.

⁷⁰ Jesus answered them, ^(A)“Did I not choose you, the twelve, ^(B)and one of you is a devil?”
