⁸ The grass withers and the flowers^(A) fall,
    but the word^(B) of our God endures^(C) forever.^(D)”

²⁵     but the word of the Lord endures forever.”^[a](A)

¹⁹ God is not human,^(A) that he should lie,^(B)
    not a human being, that he should change his mind.^(C)
Does he speak and then not act?
    Does he promise^(D) and not fulfill?

¹¹ so is my word^(A) that goes out from my mouth:
    It will not return to me empty,^(B)
but will accomplish what I desire
    and achieve the purpose^(C) for which I sent it.

⁵ “Every word of God is flawless;^(A)
    he is a shield^(B) to those who take refuge in him.

⁶ Lift up your eyes to the heavens,
    look at the earth beneath;
the heavens will vanish like smoke,^(A)
    the earth will wear out like a garment^(B)
    and its inhabitants die like flies.
But my salvation^(C) will last forever,^(D)
    my righteousness will never fail.^(E)

¹⁰ Though the mountains be shaken^(A)
    and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love^(B) for you will not be shaken^(C)
    nor my covenant^(D) of peace^(E) be removed,”
    says the Lord, who has compassion^(F) on you.
