²⁷ Then Peter said in reply, “See, ^(A)we have left everything and followed you. What then will we have?”

⁸ Indeed, I count everything as loss because of ^(A)the surpassing worth of ^(B)knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I ^(C)have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ

¹¹ And when they had brought their boats to land, ^(A)they left everything and followed him.

¹⁷ And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become ^(A)fishers of men.”^{[a] 18} And immediately they left their nets and followed him. ¹⁹ And going on a little farther, he saw James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, who were in their boat mending the nets. ²⁰ And immediately he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants and followed him.

²⁸ And Peter said, “See, ^(A)we have left our homes and followed you.”

²⁹ but he answered his father, ‘Look, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed your command, yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might ^(A)celebrate with my friends.

²⁸ Peter began to say to him, “See, ^(A)we have left everything and followed you.”

^14 (A)And as he passed by, he saw ^(B)Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax booth, and he said to him, “Follow me.” And he rose and followed him.

²⁰ Immediately they left their nets and followed him. ²¹ And going on from there he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets, and he called them. ²² Immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.
