^4 (A)Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

¹¹ But ^(A)he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. ^12 (B)And whoever exalts himself will be ^[a]humbled, and he who humbles himself will be ^[b]exalted.

^10 (A)Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

^11 (A)For whoever exalts himself will be ^[a]humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

⁴⁸ and said to them, ^(A)“Whoever receives this little child in My name receives Me; and ^(B)whoever receives Me ^(C)receives Him who sent Me. ^(D)For he who is least among you all will be great.”

Submit to God, Resist the Devil

⁵ Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, ^(A)all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for

^43 (A)Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant.

²⁶ Yet ^(A)it shall not be so among you; but ^(B)whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. ^27 (C)And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave—

18 At ^(B)that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
