^12 (A)For to the one who has, more will be given, and he will have an abundance, but from the one who has not, ^(B)even what he has will be taken away.

^29 (A)For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.

^2 (A)Every branch in me that does not bear fruit ^(B)he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, ^(C)that it may bear more fruit. ³ Already ^(D)you are clean ^(E)because of the word that I have spoken to you. ^4 (F)Abide ^(G)in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. ⁵ I am the vine; ^(H)you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that ^(I)bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

^18 (A)Take care then how you hear, ^(B)for to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he thinks that he has will be taken away.”

⁵ Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do ^(A)the works you did at first. If not, ^(B)I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.

²⁴ And he said to those who stood by, ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to the one who has the ten minas.’ ²⁵ And they said to him, ‘Lord, he has ten minas!’ ²⁶ ‘I tell you that ^(A)to everyone who has, more will be given, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.

²⁵ But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that ^(A)you in your lifetime received your good things, and Lazarus in like manner bad things; but now he is comforted here, and you are in anguish.

² And he called him and said to him, ‘What is this that I hear about you? Turn in the account of your ^(A)management, for you can no longer be manager.’

²⁰ But God said to him, ^(A)‘Fool! ^(B)This night ^(C)your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, ^(D)whose will they be?’ ²¹ So is the one ^(E)who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.”
