³³ But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.^(A)

²⁶ Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them^(A) when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.^(B)

²³ No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.^(A)

⁹ But whoever disowns me before others will be disowned^(A) before the angels of God.

³⁸ If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man^(A) will be ashamed of them^(B) when he comes^(C) in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”

False Teachers and Their Destruction

2 But there were also false prophets^(A) among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you.^(B) They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord^(C) who bought them^(D)—bringing swift destruction on themselves.

³⁰ “Truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “today—yes, tonight—before the rooster crows twice^[a] you yourself will disown me three times.”^(A)
