²⁸ And ^(A)do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him ^(B)who can destroy both soul and body in hell.^[a]

Have No Fear

⁴ “I tell you, my friends, ^(A)do not fear those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more that they can do. ⁵ But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him ^(B)who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell.^[a] Yes, I tell you, fear him!

¹² “Do not call ^(A)conspiracy all that this people calls conspiracy, and ^(B)do not fear what they fear, nor be in dread. ¹³ But the Lord of hosts, ^(C)him you shall honor as holy. Let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.

¹⁰ Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, ^(A)that you may be tested, and for ^(B)ten days ^(C)you will have tribulation. ^(D)Be faithful ^(E)unto death, and I will give you ^(F)the crown of life.

¹² There is only ^(A)one lawgiver and ^(B)judge, he who is able to save and ^(C)to destroy. But ^(D)who are you to judge your neighbor?

^14 (A)But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. ^(B)Have no fear of them, ^(C)nor be troubled,

³⁵ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? ³⁶ As it is written,

³⁷ No, in all these things we are more than ^(C)conquerors through ^(D)him who loved us. ³⁸ For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, ³⁹ nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹⁰ and the devil ^(A)who had deceived them was ^(B)thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where ^(C)the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Judgment Before the Great White Throne

¹¹ Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence ^(D)earth and sky fled away, and ^(E)no place was found for them. ¹² And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and ^(F)books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is ^(G)the book of life. And ^(H)the dead were judged by what was written in the books, ^(I)according to what they had done. ¹³ And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, ^(J)Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, ^(K)according to what they had done. ¹⁴ Then ^(L)Death and Hades ^(M)were thrown into the lake of fire. This is ^(N)the second death, the lake of fire. ¹⁵ And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, ^(O)he was thrown into the lake of fire.
