Easy-to-Read Version

⁴¹These last words made Jesus angry.^[a] But he touched him and said, “I want to heal you. Be healed!”

Mark 1:41 These … angry Most Greek copies have “Moved with pity ….” But it is hard to explain why some good Greek copies and Latin versions have “Filled with anger …,” so many scholars now consider it to be the original reading.

⁴¹Jesus was indignant.^[a] He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!”

⁴¹And becoming angry,^[a] he stretched out his hand and^[b] touched him^[c], and said to him, “I am willing; be made clean.”

Mark 1:41 Here “and” is supplied because the previous participle (“stretched out”) has been translated as a finite verb
