¹⁸ As he was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed with demons begged him that he might be with him.

³⁸ The man from whom the demons had gone begged that he might be with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, ³⁹ “Return to your home, and ^(A)declare how much God has done for you.” And he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole city how much Jesus had done for him.

^23 (A)I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is ^(B)to depart and ^(C)be with Christ, for that is far better. ²⁴ But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account.

¹⁷ And ^(A)they began to beg Jesus^[a] to depart from their region.

⁴² And he said, “Jesus, remember me ^(A)when you come into your kingdom.” ⁴³ And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in ^(B)paradise.”

⁷ And ^(A)crying out with a loud voice, he said, “What have you to do with me, Jesus, ^(B)Son of ^(C)the Most High God? ^(D)I adjure you by God, do not torment me.”

¹⁵ Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, ^(A)praising God with a loud voice; ¹⁶ and ^(B)he fell on his face at Jesus' feet, giving him thanks. Now he was ^(C)a Samaritan. ¹⁷ Then Jesus answered, “Were not ^(D)ten cleansed? Where are the nine?
