²⁰ But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, ^[a]accept it, and bear ^(A)fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”

^10 (A)that you may walk worthy of the Lord, ^(B)fully pleasing Him, ^(C)being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the ^(D)knowledge of God;

^4 (A)Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

⁵ “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much ^(B)fruit; for without Me you can do ^(C)nothing.

¹⁵ But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with ^(A)patience.^[a]

⁸ But other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”

²³ But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears ^(A)fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

⁸ For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither ^[a]barren ^(A)nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Plea for Purity

4 Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus ^(A)that you should abound more and more, ^(B)just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God;

¹¹ being filled with the fruits of righteousness ^(A)which are by Jesus Christ, ^(B)to the glory and praise of God.

⁴ Therefore, my brethren, you also have become ^(A)dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should ^(B)bear fruit to God.
