Jesus Heals a Paralytic

2 And when he returned to ^(A)Capernaum after some days, it was reported that he was at home.

⁴⁷ When this man heard that Jesus ^(A)had come from Judea to Galilee, he went to him and asked him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.

^18 (A)And behold, some men were bringing ^(B)on a bed a man who was paralyzed, and they were seeking to bring him in and lay him before Jesus,

²⁴ And from there he arose and went away to the region of Tyre and Sidon.^[a] And he entered a house and did not want anyone to know, yet he could not be hidden.

^45 (A)But he went out and began to talk freely about it, and to spread the news, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter ^(B)a town, but was out in ^(C)desolate places, and ^(D)people were coming to him from every quarter.

9 And getting into a boat he crossed over and came to ^(A)his own city.

^35 (A)As he drew near to Jericho, ^(B)a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging. ³⁶ And hearing a crowd going by, he inquired what this meant. ³⁷ They told him, ^(C)“Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.” ³⁸ And he cried out, “Jesus, ^(D)Son of David, have mercy on me!”

⁶ And ^(A)at this sound the multitude came together, and they were bewildered, because each one was hearing them speak in his own language.
